Sadly, capitalism (which is the best of all available systems, I am no socialist) forces us all to become hustlers. It’s not enough simply to contribute to society and add value. We also end up wondering what small opportunity is there to make even MORE money. It’s an absolute death spiral, as is obvious from the social media corporations, and now the AI corporations. Future be damned! Capitalism forces us all to be SHORT TERM thinkers. That is why it is doomed. Yes, it takes longer for it to be doomed compared with socialism/communism. But the end result is doom.
Now, it has been said that the best form of government would be a “benevolent dictatorship,” and I would basically agree. But of course, one must worry about what happens when the dictator dies. If taken over by an entitled, spoiled sociopath, your society is doomed as well.
So what is the perfect system? I’m afraid it doesn’t exist. We as human beings provide entertainment and intrigue to those who created us. Our VERY BEST example of the species, Jesus Christ, died on a cross at age 33 with no children. That should make the situation VERY obvious, but we as human beings were created with an inherent sense of “naive optimism” as I call it.
I have said and written (since my 20’s) that BALANCE is the ultimate goal we should be striving towards, and wow, I was right. But little did I know how horrifying reality actually is.
Every child that is born is a complete and total gamble by the parents that this child will live a mostly happy life. And to be fair, the odds are on that side. Most people live out their days in relative comfort, and die accordingly.
But of course, things are changing. Our country (the USA) has grown more divided over time, and I would argue this is inevitable, even designed. In order to provide pleasure for the higher beings, we must have a certain measure of chaos and uncertainty in our daily goings-on.
So all questions that we ask about life (questions which I have hinted at in my 20’s and 30’s when I was more naive and still learning) ultimately boil down to these simple ones: WHY and HOW do we exist the way that we exist? WHY do we have the capacity both for good and evil?
In a certain sense, even the worst among us have an out. They would not have committed evil acts unless they were allowed to. Jesus was tempted by Satan, but why does Satan exist?
So many interesting questions that still must be answered.
